Review: Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare (2025)
I went into this movie with fairly low expectations, just like I did and will continue to do with all future films from the Twisted Childhood Nightmares universe. Most of them are quick cash grabs that exploit the names of our beloved childhood heroes without delivering much substance.
I was expecting something like The Mouse Trap, which was a truly awful movie, so I was surprised that this turned out to be more watchable than I thought. In this one, we follow a dark reimagining of Peter Pan who kidnaps children and tries to take them to Neverland. After a brutal opening scene, we are introduced to the main characters from the Darling family. One day, Peter Pan manages to kidnap Michael, the youngest son, and from that point on, his older sister Wendy does everything she can to get him back, feeling responsible for his disappearance.
The film is clearly inspired by other projects
